To support the recent structural changes to the Initiation and Novice Programs (Intro to Hockey Programs) mandated by Hockey Canada/Alberta, Hockey Edmonton and the Canadian Institute of Hockey will be hosting an “Intro to Hockey” Celebration. The purpose of the celebration is to provide an opportunity for Hockey Edmonton and EFHL Interlock members to learn more about the recent programming changes: age-appropriate programming, best practices, and Long Term Player Development. Hockey Edmonton will be organizing the celebration in conjunction with the 2018 Hlinka Gretzky Cup and the Center Ice Summit at Rogers Place. Several prominent sport researchers, child development experts, and professional hockey players will be invited to support this celebration.
